FAQ's

What size scooter is right for my child?

The right size depends on your child’s age, height, and skill level. As a general guideline:

  • 6 months – 2 years: Ride-on or 3-in-1 scooter (with seat and parental handle)

  • 2 – 5 years: 3-wheel scooter (stable, with lean-to-steer feature)

  • 5 – 12 years: 2-wheel or maxi 3-wheel scooter

  • Teens & Adults: 2-wheel foldable scooters designed for speed and commuting

  • 3-wheel scooters (2 front wheels): More stable, ideal for younger riders. Uses lean-to-steer motion.

  • 2-wheel scooters: Faster, more agile, designed for older kids and confident riders.

Micro has models for every age:

When choosing between a Mini Micro and a Maxi Micro scooter for a 4-year-old, consider your child’s size, coordination, and experience. The Mini Micro is designed specifically for younger children aged 2 to 5, with a lightweight frame, lower deck, and easy-to-steer lean-to-turn system—ideal for beginners. The Maxi Micro is built for kids aged 5 to 12, offering a sturdier frame and higher weight limit, better suited for taller or more confident riders.

If your 4-year-old is average in size and new to scooting, the Mini Micro is usually the best fit. If they’re tall for their age, already skilled, or you want a scooter that will grow with them longer, the Maxi Micro might be a better long-term investment.

The Mini Micro Deluxe (for kids up to 35kg and 80-100cm tall) is the perfect scooter for smaller 4-year-olds. If your 4-year-old is closer to 5 years old or taller, the Maxi Micro Deluxe offers the same scooting experience but for kids up to 50kg and 110-152cm in height.

Yes, and it varies by model:

  • Mini Micro: Up to 50kg

  • Maxi Micro: Up to 50kg

  • Adult scooters: Up to 100kg

In the Mini range, there is a foldable variation. For all other Mini and Maxi scooters, the T-Bar can be easily removed from the base should you wish to fold the scooter for travel or to pack it away.

All 2-wheel scooters and Kickboards are foldable.

We recommend:

  • Helmet (essential)

  • Elbow and knee pads (especially for beginners)

  • Bright/reflective clothing if riding near roads
